Another success - thank you!
A review of Croatia - Coast and National Parks Activity Week by The Williams FamilyAll family members enjoyed all the activities. Difficult to pick out one! From us 4 - 2 votes for sea kayaking, 1 vote each fro hike and rafting! The sea kayaking was an acivity new to us. It was broken up into managemable chunks with plenty of rest/swimming time. We went for a lovely (and filling!) lunch on the island at the half way mark which was very pleasant. it perhaps wold have been nicer…
Read more to spend a bit more time on the island to have a little look round instead of just eat lunch and then have to leave again. This was the only suggesion I could make as we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. Hiking was good and although a bit difficult in parts due to the heat, but enjoyable nonetheless. One of the highlights was the stop off for swimming in a beautiful natural pool (found thanks to our guides!) on the way up and down the mountain. The pace was just right for all of us and scenery stunning. The rafting was great fun and our guide ("Big Luka" - there are 2 apparently) was fantastic and very funny. The river kayaking was also great and our teenage sons especially enjoyed "going solo" down the 3m waterfall while we looked on in fear/wonder/amazement! The cycling was the hardest activity, definitely due to the intense heat. There were hills to climb which in the UK I'm sure wouldn't be an issue but in 34 degrees were pretty tough. However, our guide, Anna, was fantastic, and we were under no pressure to go faster as we all went at the pace of the slowest member. There was no shame in getting off to walk for periods if necessary. She kept us informed of distances/hills to cover and, importantly, when the swimming stop was coming! It was a long day but fortunately broken up by a 2 hour lunch stop back at the hotel where we could refresh. Definitely worth doing the "hard cycle", ie to monastery in the morning and the easier flat cycle to the waterfall in the afternoon, rather than the other way round as was on our itinerary. The guides obviously know best and what's preferable. We all made it and there was an incredible sense of achievement at the end (albeit lots of aching legs!). This was our second holiday with Activities Abroad. As previously, what made this holiday work so well were the guides. Our two guides, Dommy and Anna were both fantastic. They were fun, friendly, well-informed and good with the kids (even normally monosyllabic teenagers!). They worked long hours and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Whatever they are earning they deserve a pay rise! This holiday included evening meals at the hotel. Although you may have felt "restricted" by this, there was need. The food was good and it was great to get together with the group in the evening to chat in a relaxed setting (rather than puffing your way up a mountain!). I think our group bonded well and the kids all got on and played cards together most nights. Although many of the activities on this holiday were the same (we did the Spain Pyrenees holiday previously), the holiday was very different and equally as good. The activities are a major part, but we found it's also about the location, scenery, culture and also the different families that form part of your group. If a family is considering doing a further holiday with Activities Abroad but is worried it might be a bit "samey" as they've done something similar before, I would encourage them to go for it as they will get completely new experiences and it's a great way of seeing a different country - from the mountains, roads, river or coastline. Another success - thank you!

I really enjoyed the kayaking and the lunch on that day. The scenery and sea were beautiful and the fish lunch was really lovely. The cycling and walking days were really good too, and they were a great way to get to know the other people on the holiday.

The kayaking and rafting were both in stunning scenery
A review of Montenegro - Coast and National Park Adventure by The Bramham FamilyAll activities were enjoyable so it is impossible to choose. The kayaking and rafting were both in stunning scenery. If I must I'd choose one of those, maybe kayaking. Our guide spoke excellent English and he was very well informed about the history etc of Montenegro. A great plus about him was that he was flexible so able to respond well to the different wishes of members of the group.

I couldn't fault any aspect of the experience
A review of The Azores – Lava Lands and Searching for Dolphins by The Hadoke FamilyThe whole experience was fantastic. Activities Abroad were informed, efficient and prompt with communications. It made organising the holiday straightforward and reassuring. I couldn't fault any aspect of the experience; the holiday was a great mix of activities with the right amount of rest/ free time included. The Local Rep was excellent - friendly, informed, efficient, and relaxed. I have never…
Read more been on an organised holiday like this before; it made the trip far more interesting, relaxing and stimulating than would have been possible if we had gone under our own steam. Our (teenage) children stated that it is the best holiday they have been on. I would like to highlight our Rep, Maria Inez Pavao, she was superb, combining a friendly style with excellent knowledge about the Islands and marine life. When the marine activities had to be re-arranged because of the weather she did this with no fuss in a way that meant we were able to complete everything within the week with no stress or rush. She is a credit to you and to Futurisma. We had a great time. Thank you.

Swimming with dolphins was a unique and unbelievably thrilling experience. Every aspect from the boat ride out to the sight of such huge pods to actually being in the water with the dolphins was amazing.
