Jo Robertson

Jo started as a placement student in 2006 as part of her Travel and Tourism Management Degree and worked her way up to General Manager. She has since stepped back from this role to focus on raising a young family but is still very much involved in the company and works part time. Born in Newcastle and raised by very active parents, she was lucky enough to spend many summers camping and hiking in the Alps and skiing during the winter.

Weekends were spent outdoors mucking about in boats or in the hills, and whilst she begrudged being dragged up windy mountains as a child, she still does all of these things now and fully intends to get her children doing the same!

Having joined as a product manager, she travelled from the moment she started and as the company grew, she was lucky enough to visit some incredible destinations.

The first holiday Jo helped set up was our trip to Costa Rica and she just loves the variety of wildlife, the people and the stunning landscapes. She later explored many new destinations and managed to bump into Sir David Attenborough in a cave! Jo was also lucky enough to travel to Finnish Lapland as the original member of our team to visit Wilderness Hotel Nellim, where she saw the Northern Lights on the very first night!

Jo is still on hand to wax lyrical about her experiences to pretty much anyone who will listen and now she has her own family, she has no doubt about which holidays they will be taking! She strongly believes that shared family experiences are one of the most important things in life.
