Fantastic holiday - kids had a blast and it felt so much longer than a week. Guides were excellent.

Whale watching, swimming with dolphins, snorkelling - great fun, amazing experiences to enjoy and share. Tour guides were absolutely fantastic, particularly Maria, nothing was too much trouble.

Read more enough for us. The food was plentiful, varied and of good quality. The local bike shop was well stocked with great bikes and could provide a host of other extras for all your hiking and cycling needs. The resort put on its own programme of hiking, cycling, volleyball and archery which we enjoyed as well as the additional activities paid for by the points system. We tried white water rafting (power rafting) which we all loved - even the 10-year-old; sporty explorer canyoning which was great for the teenagers; and also Area 47 Water Park which was a haven for adrenaline fuelled teenagers. Additionally, the resort has a spa, (very) small gym, provides a trampoline, table tennis tables (x3) a mini bike track; volleyball court, table football, tight ropes and several activities for smaller ones. We highly recommend this holiday for active families, although it is a beautiful area just to relax if you so choose.

Canyoning was a surprising hit amongst our family and we were particularly impressed with the ability of the activity guides to cater for a wide range of abilities. This was a really great holiday. Our guide Inez was very knowledgeable, very helpful and very passionate about the island.

Cornil and Mark were great local reps. Their knowledge and enthusiasm were wonderful. (Most enjoyable activity): Dawn - Sea Kayaking. Activity rep/guides, Mima and Lovro, were superb. We've done four activity holidays and these were by far and away the best we've had. Very well organised, flexible to changes if possible, very safety conscious, but a lightness of touch in dealing with a large mixed group of differing abilities.

This holiday was simply amazing. The partner company in the Azores, were extremely professional and their staff very personable. Their knowledge was fantastic and their enthusiasm contagious. Read more doing things we'd never done before. As a family, we were blown away by the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins and even swam with a Hammerhead shark! The ethos and methods used ensure that the wild animals remain wild and their natural behaviour are not affected. It was an honour to be in the water with these creatures and our guide Albert worked very hard to find them for us whilst keeping a safe distance. If you want to visit the most beautiful part of this planet and feel truly alive, then this is the place for you.
