Snowmobiles, (not skidoos - Skidoo is a brand name!) have skis on the front so they generally want to follow the track of the snowmobile in front and there are no gears to worry about which takes a lot of the ‘over thinking’ out of it. The scenery we passed was spectacular - a snowy wonderland made up of forests, fells and frozen lakes - you couldn't help but think 'gosh how lucky am I to be here and what an absolute thrill it is to be on these machines!'. At certain points, we stopped to take photos of the wonderful scenery and the guides came to see how we were getting on.
When we eventually stopped at the halfway point everyone was buzzing and chatting and the guide handed out warm juice as we discussed how exhilarating the ride was. The journey home was just as good and eventually, we made it back to where we started. I very reluctantly got off, eagerly working out how I can get my hands on a snowmobile again!
