Given that people in these parts spend most of their lives surrounded by snow, they’ve devised all kinds of exciting ways to travel over it – all of which you’ll be able to try for yourselves.

Most popular of all has to be dogsledding: a traditional means of getting about which goes back generations. You can cover distances from nine to fifty kilometres in length – whichever you choose, you’ll certainly be in for a thrilling ride!
You’ll also have the opportunity to throw in a bit of native culture. How about ice-fishing like the locals on a frozen lake, or learning about the lifestyle of the indigenous Sami people? The decision is all yours!
