We did an activity holiday in Croatia last year and loved it. At the time we felt that was our best holiday ever. Now this one tops the list for my daughter and comes equal top for my husband and I. I would particularly like to commend the helpfulness and friendliness of the tour rep and also the level of equipment provided and instruction provided by the activity companies.

I travelled with my 3 children to Luosto in Finland for a week of winter activities. The travelling was very relaxed with our guide to meet us at the airport. The log cabin was a bit further from the hotel where the meals were taken, but it was cosy and well furnished. Luosto is a very small, quiet resort, perfect for the nervous downhill skier. Read more at times we had the easy slopes to ourselves. The activities during the week were well organised and just the right length - the snowshoe evening walk in the forest was very good even if we didn't see the Northern Lights. All the equipment used was of a good quality and the local guides were very friendly and helpful - thanks for a relaxing week in the snow

We found it a very personalised experience. The lady, who met us at the airport, took the time to learn our children’s names. There was only one other family with us, which meant we had a nice small and friendly group, and all the guides took the time to learn and remember our first names. Small things, but it means a lot. Having endured 6 weeks of snowy weather prior to the holiday, I was questioning whether I should've booked a winter sun holiday. Read more were never bored which meant my experience was much more pleasant!The hotel was quiet and friendly, the swimming pool kept the children entertained each day, it could've been slightly warmer as we spent hours in there! The restaurant was very pretty with Christmas decorations and candles and the food was very good quality and plentiful.My son loved the snow fishing and he caught 5 fish, which was the record of the day. I caught one and felt as excited as if I'd landed Jaws!The husky farm had a month old puppy for us to cuddle which was a big hit with the children.All in all, a perfect holiday.

Read more northern lights, a snowmobile trip to the amethyst mine, a husky safari and ice fishing and thoroughly enjoyed them all, the snowmobiles were a real experience.Snow games were dead good, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable, they kitted us out with our warm gear, and boy did that come in handy!All in all a brilliant, memorable holiday - thank you Activities Abroad.

All the activity guides were excellent, very helpful and they couldn't do enough to help out.

The most enjoyable was everything on Xmas eve as it suddenly felt like Xmas. The days before were busy with other fun activities but we had started to forget it was actually Christmas until we went to choose the Xmas tree in the forest. We also received excellent info and advice from staff over the telephone prior to and after booking. So impressed with the level of knowledge about the whole holiday it left us confident about the quality of the holiday.

Best holiday ever! We are now looking at arranging a cross country ski trip staying at wilderness cabins.

Great place to learn to ski for first timers

The hotel could do with a bigger lounge area where guests can relax and talk. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday had by all. Even my 90 year old father in law had the time of his life, riding a skidoo and driving a reindeer sleigh. The staff at Harriniva were very accommodating and friendly.
