A review of Ranua - Festive Family Adventure by Alyson MarchantFantastic trip. Didn't want to come home. Planning another trip again, but next time for longer. All of it was great.

Everything was enjoyable - it was magical.
A review of A Magical Search for Father Christmas by Christopher WarmanVisting Santa's cottage was the stand out activity for so many reasons but I also enjoyed the Husky pull. Whilst we were there we also went on a Ski-doo trip which was great fun. Everything was enjoyable - it was magical. The order of the activities, the free time that was available, the courtesy of the guides, the beauty of the location and the time spent in the company of Santa made this a truly…

The best holiday we have ever had

I just cannot find words to describe just how brilliantly magical this was.
A review of Nellim Christmas Aurora Adventure by Barbara CloweI and my 13 year old grandson departed on our adventure to the Wilderness Hotel in Nellim on the 19th December returning to London on the 26th December, 2015. Let me first say that the administration staff at Activities Abroad were excellent, going above and beyond to ensure that any query, no matter how small or insignificant the questions, were answered by enthusiastic members of their team.…
Read more Most, I believe, have been on this break and they were as excited as I and my grandson and this added to our anticipation of this break....a big thank you to everyone. The holiday itself - I just cannot find words to describe just how brilliantly magical this was. The guides are to be praised for making all the outside activities amazing, so friendly and passionate about their work which added to one's own excitement and in turn they seemed to buzz off our elations as we undertook all the activities provided.... To the Guides I wish to say a very big thank you and in particular to Lamu .... passionate about everything he undertook and also about his country. We were extremely lucky as we saw the Aurora on the first morning we were there, thanks to being equipped with alert mobiles, and again on four separate occasions so we achieved everything we had wished for on this holiday and more besides. The accommodation I found to be basic but comfortable and were cleaned every alternative day with fresh towels provided at that time also. The restaurant was a good size, warm and welcoming with a bar to one side. However if I had one grumble it would be that the food was never much above luke warm whatever time you chose to eat and I feel that the hotel should look to finding a solution to this as there were many visitors of the same opinion, the dishes served were varied, tasty and on the whole well cooked but sadly let down by this fact. The clothing provided was perfect and to be honest you would only require to buy baselayers and possibly a couple of midlayers to take with you as even at -33 the clothing was sufficient needing only to add possibly a snood and woollen hat.It only remains for me to say that I would definitely chose Activities Abroad again and would definitely make this trip again possibly with my youngest grandson when he makes 10 (in two years). Thank you Barbara E Clowe

The time with Santa was exceptional...
A review of A Magical Search for Father Christmas by Graham HarrisI am a fuss pot so it would be difficult to please me with food. The Gluten free options were very good wherever we were so 100% for that. Enjoyed all the activities - the fact that we were a small group so all able to join in together and not spend half the time queuing was brilliant. The attention to detail, Santa's tracks on the lake where we went on snowshoes to find their presents. The time…
Read more with Santa was exceptional the children loved every minute and the whole experience was believable.

Superb from start to finish.
A review of A Magical Search for Father Christmas by Lisa WalkerWow! This holiday exceeded my expectations in every way. Superb from start to finish. I could not fault a thing. It is hard to choose (favourite activity), as they were all great. However, the visit to Father Christmas has to be the best bit. I could not fault this trip.

Perfect trip in every way
A review of A Magical Search for Father Christmas by Angela ZilioliWe cannot fault this trip, from start to finish everything was perfect. The staff here on booking and everyone in Finland were lovely and friendly and all did their best to make it a perfect trip. All the activities were well planned with children in mind, and the highlight of the trip, meeting Santa, was fantastic. It felt really personal and Santa spent time with each individual child. We…

The husky safari was truly magical, the guides were most helpful and friendly. We saw no one else while on the trail through the pristine forests. All we could hear was the dogs. The memories will last forever. I can't praise the staff at Harriniva and guides highly enough - EVERYONE we ran into contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Becky the Activities Abroad guide was lovely,…

The service was very good indeed; everyone was very friendly...
A review of Slovenia - Europe's Secret Adventure Playground by Andrew QuixleyI found everyone I spoke to in the office extremely helpful in the run up to the holiday. They understood my special requirements in terms of taking my severely autistic son on this trip and I found their reassurance that he would be fine a big help. The fact that several of the people I spoke to had been on the trip themselves, knew the activities, the accommodation and the guides, gave me…
Read more confidence in what I was letting us in for! The transfer from the airport on arrival went like clockwork; our driver was waiting for us and was clearly visible (although the airport is small!). She even warned us that motion sickness might be an issue before we started, due to the steep hills and hairpin bends en route. I thought she might have been exaggerating, but two hours later (and feeling slightly nauseous!) I understood exactly what she meant! I found the accommodation to be very good quality and very comfortable. The service was very good indeed; everyone was very friendly and easy to understand. Although there were no options at dinner, everything that was offered was good and there were 100% clean plates through the week for me and my son! One of the other families in our group had fairly fussy kids, but the hotel was easily able to adapt to their foibles and keep them all happy. The guides were all very capable and confident, and one felt that they always had everything under control and everyone was safe. Tomas and Gregor deserve special mentions; Tomas is certainly a character and everyone warmed to him from the outset. If only the water in the rivers and canyons wasn't quite so cold and that bloody zip line platform so hard ;-) P.S. I didn't get a brochure because I didn't want or need one; I found everything I needed from the web site or by talking to people in the sales and/or support teams - all of whom were very approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. It always felt like they cared - particularly about making sure my autistic son would be OK, which is obviously a big deal for me. Many thanks.
