Having endured 6 weeks of snowy weather prior to the holiday, I was questioning whether I should've booked a winter sun holiday. Read more were never bored which meant my experience was much more pleasant!The hotel was quiet and friendly, the swimming pool kept the children entertained each day, it could've been slightly warmer as we spent hours in there! The restaurant was very pretty with Christmas decorations and candles and the food was very good quality and plentiful.My son loved the snow fishing and he caught 5 fish, which was the record of the day. I caught one and felt as excited as if I'd landed Jaws!The husky farm had a month old puppy for us to cuddle which was a big hit with the children.All in all, a perfect holiday.

Wow, what a fantastic holiday. Read more northern lights, a snowmobile trip to the amethyst mine, a husky safari and ice fishing and thoroughly enjoyed them all, the snowmobiles were a real experience.Snow games were dead good, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable, they kitted us out with our warm gear, and boy did that come in handy!All in all a brilliant, memorable holiday - thank you Activities Abroad.

All the activity guides were excellent, very helpful and they couldn't do enough to help out.

The most enjoyable was everything on Xmas eve as it suddenly felt like Xmas. The days before were busy with other fun activities but we had started to forget it was actually Christmas until we went to choose the Xmas tree in the forest. We also received excellent info and advice from staff over the telephone prior to and after booking. So impressed with the level of knowledge about the whole holiday it left us confident about the quality of the holiday.

Best holiday ever! We are now looking at arranging a cross country ski trip staying at wilderness cabins.

Great place to learn to ski for first timers

The hotel could do with a bigger lounge area where guests can relax and talk. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday had by all. Even my 90 year old father in law had the time of his life, riding a skidoo and driving a reindeer sleigh. The staff at Harriniva were very accommodating and friendly. Mena our activity guide was excellent. Thank you Activities Abroad for organising a fab holiday for us.

Mike and Karen looked after us extremely well in an unpushy and friendly manner. We always felt well informed and that everything was under control. The local guides were also patient, very friendly and extremely skilled. Read more snowmobiling and husky-sledding.The whole holiday was enjoyable, so it's hard to pick a favourite. The dog-sledding was so exhilarating that we chose to go again as an optional extra on Christmas Day, but we also really enjoyed the more low-key but wonderfully led activites around the hotel. The snow-shoe walk in the forest on the first day didn't sound very exciting on paper, but to find a wood fire burning in a snow-hollow, with reindeer skins arranged around it for us to sit on, so we could relax, toast marshmallows and meet the other families was wonderful. We also thought the Christmas Eve activites were fantastic. The children enjoyed choosing and decorating a Christmas Tree, but the highlight was the beautifully arranged visit to Father Christmas, which was truly magical.

The best activity was the Huskies, although we also took an optional activity of Ice Fishing on Christmas Day - this was a wonderful experience for us and the kids - there will never be another Christmas Day like it. Our best Christmas ever - thank you Activities Abroad!

Your staff are your greatest asset. Without exception they have been helpful, patient and extremely generous with their time. No matter whom I have had dealings with, and no matter how briefly, I always felt that our party was in safe hands. Thank you!
