But what about the weather you ask?
With the weather all over the globe less predictable than ever you have as much chance of a great summer here as anywhere else but without the hassle of travel. And if it does rain then:
1. Skin is waterproof
2. If you are ghyll scrambling you are going to get wet anyway - that's half the fun!
Ghyll scrambling is in fact my favourite event. The scenery at Stoneycroft Ghyll is fantastic. Add to that the fun of splashing about as you wade, slide, jump and sometimes just plain drop your way down the stream and I was a happy but very wet man.
A quick shower and a slab of Kendal mint cake and I was ready to go again...
